CLPB is a plug-and-cage choke for high-demand pressure-control applications where high Cv, erosion resistance, equal-percentage control, and lower operating torque matter.
Overview
CLPB Features
CLPB uses an internal plug fastened to the stem that moves axially inside a ported cage. As the plug retracts, it reveals more cage ports and increases the available flow area.
As flow enters the cage ports, the streams impinge toward the center of the cage. That flow path helps neutralize forces, reduce erosion and turbulence, lower stem loads, and make the valve easier to actuate in high-demand service.
- Use CLPB when the job needs high Cv flow capacity for production, injection, or larger pressure-drop service.
- Pressure-balanced, self-flushing design helps lower operating torque and stem load.
- Equal-percentage flow characteristic supports controllability and rangeability in demanding conditions.
- Tungsten carbide trim can support erosive service where sand or wear potential drives the selection.
