CMA
Quarter-Turn MOV Disc Control
The CMA angled disc choke uses a quarter-turn MOV disc-type trim for accurate flow control, reliable shut-off, and large-solids passage across threaded, flanged, butt-weld, and socket-weld configurations.
Overview
CMA Features
The CMA uses MOV disc-type trim with a quarter-turn rotation from open to close in an angled body. Accurate control is maintained with Pie, circular, or half-moon (D-shaped) flow areas, while the open flow path allows large solids to pass and helps resist blockage.
Its solid tungsten carbide, ceramic, or stainless steel discs are diamond-lapped within two light bands, plus or minus 0.00002 inch, of flatness to support reliable shut-off. Differential pressure across the trim creates a strong retention force between the discs for accurate flow-rate control and reduced trim vibration, while wiping action helps keep the disc surfaces clean.
